HYPER-AI at NexusForum.EU South Korea Digital Convergence Week 2026
Strengthening International Collaboration on Cloud-Edge-IoT and Distributed AI
📅 13–16 April 2026
📍 Incheon and Yeosu, South Korea
HYPER-AI was represented at the NexusForum.EU South Korea Digital Convergence Week 2026 through the participation of project partner SUNDOSOFT Co., Ltd., contributing to discussions on the future of hyper-distributed AI, Cloud-Edge-IoT infrastructures, and international digital cooperation.
The event, organised within the framework of NexusForum.EU, aimed to strengthen collaboration between Europe and South Korea across strategic domains including artificial intelligence, cloud-edge computing, semiconductors, cybersecurity, and next-generation digital infrastructures. Bringing together stakeholders from research, industry, and policy, the initiative aligned closely with the EU–Republic of Korea Digital Partnership and Europe’s broader objectives on digital sovereignty and technological resilience.
During the event, Sundosoft presented HYPER-AI’s vision of autonomous Cloud-to-Edge AI, where intelligent “computing swarms” dynamically optimise resources across Cloud, Edge, and IoT environments. This hyper-distributed approach addresses the growing complexity of modern distributed systems by enabling adaptive, scalable, and energy-efficient orchestration across heterogeneous infrastructures.
As a Horizon Europe initiative involving 15 partners across 8 countries, HYPER-AI contributes to the development of next-generation distributed AI technologies capable of supporting intensive data-processing applications across the Computing Continuum.
The presentation also highlighted concrete application domains and emerging real-world impact, including:
- Advanced healthcare analytics for DNA analysis and outbreak mapping
- Environmental monitoring solutions combining eDNA technologies and GIS systems
Participation in the NexusForum.EU South Korea Digital Convergence Week reinforced HYPER-AI’s commitment to international collaboration and demonstrated how European research initiatives can contribute to global discussions on trustworthy, scalable, and interoperable AI infrastructures.
As the project advances, HYPER-AI continues to strengthen its focus on exploitation, industry engagement, and real-world adoption, building bridges between research excellence and practical innovation across international ecosystems.
